By Martin Vaughan, Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Some Capitol Hill Democrats want President Barack Obama to extend tax cuts for wealthy Americans now scheduled to expire at the end of 2010, arguing that a tax increase could hinder economic recovery.
“I think there is a certain logic [...]

Look at what is going on in Greece and you’ll understand what is driving the grass-roots uprising taking place across our country.
It’s perfectly clear that big-government, welfare-state policies drove Greece into bankruptcy and that the path on which our own Democrat-controlled government has put our nation mirrors where Greece and other European welfare [...]

WASHINGTON (AP) – Attorney General Eric Holder said Sunday he does not think Arizona’s law cracking down on illegal immigrants is racially motivated but voiced concern that its enforcement could lead to racial profiling.

This interview is part of an ongoing series of conversations with former Congressman and conservative activist Duncan Hunter. The intent is to keep this rock ribbed conservative’s ideas in the public square which will hopefully help guide his former colleagues still in office, as well as inspire the American people to embrace his Reaganesque views on American politics. With any luck, Hunter will seek the presidency again in 2012, but for now he is concentrating on helping the GOP regain the majority in the House by supporting a lineup of like-minded, young conservatives running for seats currently held by liberal Democrats. This interview finds Hunter on the road from San Diego to Brawley, CA, on his way to a political event for Nick ‘Gunny Pop’ Popaditch.

The next big political issue? The U.S. dollar
Posted by: James Pethokoukis
The state of the dollar probably hasn’t been a first-tier political issue in the United States since, say, the presidential election of 1896. Back then, it manifested as whether or not America would stay on the gold standard or [...]

The Federal Reserve has been a thorn in the side of Americans for nearly 100 years. It’s definitely time for this unelected pseudo-branch of government to go. The Fed regulates our money and economy in ways unconstitutional to the founding laws of the United States. A central
regulatory system of banking and money control [...]

Here is a great read: From Return Of The Gods Web Site
The public debate over so-called “Health Care Reform,” has been fatally skewed by a failure on most sides to recognize the most essential aspects of the issue. Politicians outdo one another in expressing alarm & disdain over the cost of medical services in America; [...]
